I’m so excited to welcome you to this little corner of the internet built specifically to curate the workspace, the toolkit, and the mindset of the work-from-home mom.

But before you do, let’s dive into a philosophy I’ve been trying to embrace more lately. I call it the "Mommy, Come Look!" Rule.

The Reality of the Split Brain

We’ve all been there: You are right in the zone. You’re typing out an email to a client, fixing a product description, updating a spreadsheet, or finally hitting a creative groove—and then you hear it.

"Mommy, can you come look at this?!"

Instantly, your brain is split. Half of you wants to say, "In a minute, baby, Mommy is working!" because you desperately don't want to lose your train of thought. But the other half knows that "this" is a tower of blocks, a cool bug outside, or a drawing they are incredibly proud of.

Here is my golden rule for this WFH journey, and the heart behind everything we do here: Try your best to just do it. Go look.

Drop the mouse for thirty seconds. Walk away from the screen. Go admire the block tower, gasp at the bug, and kiss their forehead.

The email will still be there. The spreadsheet will wait. Our little ones, however, with their little voices asking us to witness their world, won't be this small forever. Let’s show them that we can chase big goals and still have time to look at a cool rock they found in the backyard.
